kyarah love* (SHE/HER) - lucy seward
Kyarah Love is a first-time Garfield Shakespeare Company actor and is thrilled to join this wonderful cast and company. She is over the moon to give life to the character of Lucy and is thankful for the opportunity to do so. Previously, you may have seen her in Civic’s production of Romeo and Juliet as Gregory. Kyarah is so elated to have her journey with acting and theatre continue.
christopher o’hara* (HE/HIM) - count dracula
Christopher O'Hara is elated to be making his Garfield Shakespeare Company debut with Dracula. Past favourite roles include Brutus in Julius Caesar, Macbeth in Macbeth, and Ryuk in a Delray Beach Playhouse Young Actor's Workshop stage adaptation of Death Note. As usual, he would like to thank his friends and family for their continued support. As well as give special recognition to his mentors, Randolph DelLago and Dolly Workman. This is for you, Randolph.
sydney engelstein* (SHE/HIM) - miss wells
Sydney is a board game designer by day, and a theater lover by moonlight. This is Sydney’s first show with GSC, and first time back on stage since college. She has loved her experience and can’t wait to return for more shows in the future!
benjamin mathis (HE/HIM) - dr seward
Benjamin Mathis is always excited to act with the Garfield Shakespeare Company. Benjamin has previously appeared in a number of GSC productions, including Antony and Cleopatra (Mark Antony,) Twelfth Night (two times, Duke Orsino and Antonio,) and Trojan Women (Poseidon). By day, he is an office manager, and by night, the Chairperson of the Garfield Shakespeare Company Board.
tess smith (SHE/THEY) - joan harker
Tess Smith is excited to once again work with the Garfield Shakespeare Company. She has enjoyed previous roles with GSC such as Sir Andrew in Twelfth Night, Gwendolyn in The Importance of Being Earnest, Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing, Sebastian in The Tempest, and Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet. A long-time fan of gothic horror and Dracula, she has enjoyed getting to make her own mark as Joan Harker. She hopes audiences adore the show, and as the titular Count Dracula said so many years ago— “Leave something of the happiness you bring.”
aaron collins (HE/HIM) - abraham van helsing
Aaron Collins is returning for his fifth production with Garfield Shakespeare Company as Abraham Van Helsing. He is thrilled to be a part of such a fantastic cast and crew, bringing such an iconic horror story to life. He will always be grateful for the endless support and encouragement he receives from his wife, Mallory, and daughter, Jill. Lastly, he would like to congratulate his friend Cheri on her directorial debut with GSC, and celebrate the diverse team that makes up this wonderful company.
derrick krober* (HE/HIM) - renfield
Derrick Krober (Renfield) is delighted to make his maiden voyage with Garfield Shakespeare Company and ecstatic to be playing his dream role. He has previously appeared as Officer Bert in Mud Creek's It's A Wonderful Life, Vanelli in Night Watch and Leo in Christmas Express for Epilogue Players. His favorite past roles include Victor Frankenstein, Don John in Much Ado About Nothing and the Wolfman-style narrator in the Rocky Horror Show. Derrick would like to dedicate the show to his wife, Kim, who comes to all his shows and watches classic Dracula films with him.
jake hobbs* (HE/HIM) - butterworth
Jake Hobbs is a community theatre veteran, having performed all around central Indiana and is a proud co-owner and founder of JCA Theatre Company which he runs with the help of two wonderful friends. Dracula will be his 51st theatre production and he is thrilled to be making his debut with the Garfield Shakespeare Company. He has loved his time with this extraordinary cast and crew and has been DYING to share this amazing show with you all. When not on-stage, Jake works for Mac Corporation in Indianapolis as the head of quality inspection. He wants to give special thanks to the creative team for letting him be a part of this wonderful show and to his mom and dad who continue to support his love and passion for the arts to this day.

MIRANDA KHOURY* (SHE/HER) - THRALL #1/CREW
Miranda Khoury (she/her) is thrilled to help bring Dracula to the stage as a member of the crew. Dracula is Miranda’s first production with GSC (and her first production since graduating college)! She is proud to help bring classical theater to the Indy community and hopes you enjoy the show!
ELLA KING (SHE/HER) - THRALL #2 / COSTUME DESIGNER
Ella has been a member of Garfield Shakespeare Company since 2021. She has participated in many GSC productions by acting, making costumes, and playing music onstage. Her favorite roles have been Feste in Twelfth Night and Ariel in The Tempest. She has also been a part of GSC’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Comedy of Errors, Much Ado About Nothing, and Trojan Women.

cHERI WALKER-OWENS (SHE/HER) - DIRECTOR
As a fan of horror, Cheri is excited to make her directorial debut with Dracula. She has been a member of Garfield Shakespeare Company since 2017, when she played the role of Alexas in The Tragedy of Antony and Cleopatra. Some of her favorite roles have been Olivia in Twelfth Night, Ferdinand in The Tempest, and Mabel in Dear Brutus. She has also been stage manager for Shrek: A Drag Parody Musical with Indy Drag Theatre and multiple productions with GSC.
AJ Stannard (SHE/HER) - INTIMACY DIRECTOR
AJ is a returning member with the Garfield Shakespeare Company. She most recently played Hecuba in Trojan Women and has provided intimacy direction for The Importance of Being Earnest.
CHRIS BURTON (HE/tHEY) - FIGHT DIRECTOR
Chris Burton has worked with the Garfield Shakespeare Company since 2009's production of Twelfth Night. They have participated as an actor, director, designer, and engineer on over 25 productions with GSC alone. Highlights include directing Henry IV Parts 1 & 2, playing Bottom in Midsummer Night's Dream, playing Falstaff in Merry Wives of Windsor, and directing a sea-shanty themed Tempest. They are excited for the upcoming seasons, but especially for the opportunity to direct Hamlet for GSC's 20th season with Garfield Park!
cheyenne henson (HE/THEY) - STAGE MANAGER
Cheyenne (He/They) is excited to be stage managing for the first time! They have been in previous shows with GSC including Cecily Cardew in The Importance of Being Earnest and Fabian in Twelfth Night. They have enjoyed being part of this show with such a wonderful aesthetic and hope you enjoy it too!
MALLORY WARD (SHE/HER) - PROPS ARTISAN
Dracula marks the beginning of Mallory Ward’s second season as GSC’s Artistic Director. She previously directed Trojan Women, The Comedy of Errors, and Dear Brutus. Backstage, she has costumed A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Importance of Being Earnest, as well as making pieces for other shows. Selected GSC roles: Much Ado About Nothing (Beatrice), The Importance of Being Earnest (Lady Bracknell), Twelfth Night (Maria), As You Like It (Touchstone), The Tempest (Trinculo). Mallory will kick off GSC’s 20th Anniversary season by directing Richard III.
SPENCER DORIAN CRANE (THEY/THEM) - LIGHTING OPERATOR
Spencer is happy to return to Garfield Shakespeare Company for their production of Dracula. They are so excited for audiences to see all of the cast and crew’s hard work. They would like to thank their partner Kenji, friends and metamors Kora and Dakota, and all their other friends and family.
